online sans-serif;”>What is Trying to be Fahad?
“Trying to be Fahad” started out as a hash tag on Twitter made up by friends as a means to mock my healthy lifestyle. Waking up early in the morning? Trying to be Fahad. Sleeping early at night? Trying to be Fahad. Nagging waiters at restaurants to use less fat? Fahad. Working out to achieve physical perfection? This guy! (Little did my friends know that Trying to be Fahad would come back to bite them in the ass. Negative into positive, baby. Negative. Into. Positive.)
Who am I?
My name is Fahad Khalid AlYehya, and I am a former fatty. I’ve felt and lived through obesity, and struggled to achieve physical perfection. My journey started in 2001 and by the grace of Allah I’m not planning on stopping any time soon. Health and fitness forever changed my life for the better, and I am here to serve as a guide for YOU to experience what I have experienced.
I did not major in health and fitness, but I am a Certified Professional Trainer and Nutrition Specialist with extensive experience. I’m also the General Manager of Core Fitness Kuwait, a performance management center targeted to provide healthier lifestyles to those who strive for it.
I don’t consider myself a professional trainer or a nutritionist, but I do think of myself as a Healthy Lifestyle Guru.

Ok, I know who you are. What is this website about, Fahad?

Essentially, anything associated with health and fitness is trying to be Fahad. As such, this blog will hopefully offer the latest and updated news on the world of health and fitness, including bodybuilding, sports performance, nutrition and achieving overall well-being. You’ll also witness all my trials and tribulations (some might fail, and some might succeed) in achieving maximum potential both physically and mentally.
I’ll be documenting my meals, workouts and dietary supplements. As an avid health-seeker, I’ll also be roaming around the streets of Kuwait reviewing what products, foods, restaurants, drinks, etc are worth your hard-earned (or not so hard-earned) cash.
