Enzain welle ma ye7eb these things shesawee?
ana a7eb el legumes, all kinds of cheese, o don’t mind tofu… bs ma a7eb hal processed thingies :(

My mom accuses me of being fat because I live on cheese and bread. That I do not have enough protein in my diet hence my body doesn’t build muscle hence I look like the Lion in the Zoo in Egypt who is served vegetable instead of meat so he is all fat and floppy instead of being lean and muscley

  2. FAHAD Says:

Danderma: I don’t like them either. Your mom is right. Why are you a vegan!? At least include some fish in your diet.

  3. Wicked Says:

I Second Denderma , I’m a vegetarian and I really hate those things

If I wanted to eat something that tasted like meat I wouldn’t have become a vegetarian in the first place :S

    p.s I think you’re confusing vegans and vegetarians !!

  4. Reno Says:

    ……. O_o …. No comment

  5. Aisha Says:

Fahad, I guess I’m not the only one who diffrentiates between vegan and vegetarian after all.

  6. Lamia Says:

Thank you for the post! helps vegans who find it difficult to include protein in their diet;) I am a dedicated vegan though. I don’t even include cheese in my diet, extremely strict. Soya is great, I barely find soya in good shape here in Q8. Lulu market makes things easier :D
BTW , being vegan/vegetarian doesn’t necessarily mean ” I HATE HOW MEAT TASTES” most people switch because of ethical reasons:) and soy doesn’t really taste like meat:s it has a good amount of protein, close enough to “the real deal”
    ;)
    thank you Fahad again.
    Have a wonderful day everyone:)

  7. Husain Says:

    Hi Fahad,

I am looking for a Body Fat Monitor for personal use and after doing some research I have comeup with two names:

    – Omron
    – Tanita

I know these Bio Impedence devices are not very accurate at measuring body fat. But I think it would still be useful to have a reference.

Just wanted to know if you would recommend one over the other from the above two or in fact any other body fat monitor.

  8. Husain Says:

Forgot to mention that the Omron one is available at Xcite. Not sure if Tanita products are available in Kuwait.

  9. FAHAD Says:

Wicked: I doubt they taste like meat or chicken.

  10. Wicked Says:

They do!! I tried couple of them once in the states .. and I even cooked a meal for my cousins without telling them it’s soy meat .. until this day no body believes that I used these products :p

  11. Ansam Says:

I dont think I can ever be vegetarian! I just cant give up RED MEAT! LOL

But I admire your effort into writing this post (and more actually)! You really put your heart into it when preparing such posts

    Gawwaak Allah

  12. aziz Says:

soy products don’t taste nice ;p

  13. AlSubah Says:

Fake meat? FAKE MEAT?! haha wow..

  14. FAHAD Says:

Husain: I use OMRON at home, but for weighing myself. Had it for almost 4+ years and still going strong. The Tanita you need to order online.

  15. FAHAD Says:

Wicked: Then use them! Meat tastes GOOD! :p

  16. FAHAD Says:

Ansam: Allah egaweech! I truly admire women that go wild with red meat!

  17. FAHAD Says:

AlSubah: Seriously dude. That’s what it says on the packaging. It’s not unnatural- it’s fungi that’s similar to mushrooms.

  18. FAHAD Says:

aziz: I wouldn’t mind eating soy, but their estrogen promoting properties push me away.

  19. Husain Says:

So you do not recommend using these devices (Omron) for monitoring body fat?

  20. FAHAD Says:

Husain: OMRON’s bad for weight-lifters. It’ll confuse muscle with fat. Only the TANITA can differentiate.

  21. Husain Says:

Thanks for the clarification, Fahad. Which Tanita model do you recommend for home use?
